Top 2 films to cry along too with a hot chocolate and a blanket...

HIII so I haven't been online in a while and I've been trying to think about what I can post whilst I'm waiting for my deliveries from ASOS and Topshop, I finally decided on a film post because what are possibly better than films??? I'm going to do a countdown of my top 2 DVDs to watch when I feel like crying and just cuddling up with a teddy and a blanket (I'm a saddo)!!!!

1) Ten Things I hate About You (1999) Dir. Gil Junger
This is one of my all time favourite films in the whole entire world! I love everything about it, I love the colours, the actors the characters, the story line.....just everything! Ten Things I Hate About You is a modern day adaptation of Shakespeare's the Taming of the Shrew in which Heath Ledger stars as heartbreaker Patrick Verona and Julia Stiles as protagonist Kat Stratford (who, lets be honest, is a very relate-able character). The film unravels as Kat, the 'shrew' of the tale (mostly known for her teenage angst and feminist beliefs) is introduced. Her father has created a new rule in which her sister, Bianca Startford, cannot date unless Kat too is dating, in a responce Bianca pursuades Cameron James (Joseph Gordon Levitt) to set Kat up with any willing boy at their school. Cameron chooses Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger!!!![my favourite actor ever rip my favourite]) the bad boy of their school, knowing full well of his rumored criminal past. Joey Donner, who is competing for Bianca's affection pays Patrick to go on numerous dates with Kat who is surprised when he actually starts falling for Kat...but has he already ruined their relationship before it has begun?
I LOVELOVELOVE this film! I personally am not a huge fan of romcoms, yet this film is in my top 5 every single time! I am in love with everything about it and I think that it is quite possibly one of the best teen films ever! I am also a massive fan of Heath Ledger so that also contributes to why I like it so much of course. And if you do decide to watch it, if you don't like Kat straight away, be patient. You definitely will as she is without a doubt one of the most badass female protagonists in existence.

 2) The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) Dir. Marc Webb
Now I know earlier I said I wasn't a massive fan of romcoms but it's actually Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy's relationship which is my favourite things about the Amazing Spider-Man films. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are the best couple to ever exist and to see them on screen acting is truly a gift. We all know the story of Peter Parker and his amazing alter ego (who is of course Spider-Man) but do we all know the tragic ending of his relationship with Gwen Stacy (another amazing woman protagonist lead). This film is strangely the most heartbreaking film I have ever watched and I don't think I've ever cried at a film so bad. The film is a rollercoaster of emotions as we follow Peter Parker on his life story, where tragic events often strike. (I'm almost sobbing whilst writing about it, it is that sad) Genuinely don't watch this if you hate crying at films because it is impossible not to! This film once again has the most amazing cast, and is the reason my favourite couple ever got together (thank u marc webb)! The characters are brilliant and I just cannot explain how much I love this film it is the best!!! I also don't know who I am more jealous of Emma Stone or Andrew Garfield.

I'm sorry if this post is boring or too long or too short!! I was originally going to do 3 films but I just can't think of another one!!!!I hope u give me feedback about these films and please recommend any films you think I might enjoy. Thank you for reading!!!!
Love Toni x
